Bienvenidos, welcome, to the travel guide for our corner of the Land of Enchantment, Albuquerque, New Mexico!

We are very excited to be hosting APTA's 2019 National Student Conclave. Albuquerque (aka, Burque or ABQ) glows with natural beauty, quirky mannerisms, and food that you will find no place else.

You will find a blend of cultures here: Hispanic, Native American, Latino, and Anglo, to name a few, along with plenty of history and unique experiences that make the 505 a one-of-a-kind destination.

A word to the wise: Albuquerque is the same elevation as Denver, Colorado (over a mile high!). If you're coming from sea level, be aware that you may feel tired at this altitude. Be sure to drink plenty of water to help adjust, especially because we're in the desert. You'll also want to make sure that you wear sunscreen if you'll be outside (yes, even in the fall).

Renting a car or using an Uber or Lyft ride is the best way to get around Albuquerque. NSC will be held in the downtown area, which is relatively close to both Old Town, our historical district full of museums, and Nob Hill, the ‟main street‟ of our city, with restaurants and local stores. Below are some of our favorite spots in town to check out while you are here.
