APTA Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy: Interventions for the Management of Acute and Chronic Low Back Pain: Revision 2021 (CPG+)
Overview
This is an update to the 2012 Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, formerly the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, clinical practice guideline for low back pain (LBP). The overall objective of this update was to provide recommendations on interventions delivered by physical therapists or studied in care settings that included physical therapy providers. Additional focus is on LBP in older adults, leg pain associated with LBP, and postoperative LBP.
