The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research is offering up to $500k in physical therapy research grants in 2022, and the application window is now open. Interested researchers should note the various deadlines: June 1 for letters of intent for three of the opportunities, and Aug. 5 for all applications.

The grants now open for applications are:

  • Acute Care Research Grant (application deadline Aug. 5) One $40,000 grant available.
  • Education Research Grant (application deadline Aug. 5). One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Foundation Research Grant (application deadline Aug. 5). One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Geriatric Research Grant (application deadline Aug. 5). One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Snyder Research Grant (application deadline Aug. 5). One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Magistro Family Foundation Research Grant (letter of intent due June 1; application deadline Aug. 5). One $100,000 grant available.
  • Paris-Patla Physical Therapy Research Grant (letter of intent due June 1; application deadline Aug. 5). One $100,000 grant available.
  • Paris-Patla Manual Therapy Research Grant (letter of intent due June 1; application deadline Aug. 5). One $100,000 grant available.

Funding is awarded via a scientific review process modeled after the National Institutes of Health. All funding calls are open to any type of research design unless otherwise noted. Review all instructions, deadlines, and resources at FPTR's grant opportunities webpage
