If you've been paying even just a little attention to APTA's regulatory advocacy efforts, you may have noticed a few new(ish) resources, seen calls to action using APTA's regulatory commenting tool, or heard pleas from the health policy and payment team to join us in commenting on a proposed rule.

If you're wondering what all the hubbub is about, or why APTA shifted its approach toward member-authored comment letters, it's because federal agencies have changed how they think about the comments they receive. It's in the profession's best interest to respond to those changes. As we ramp up our efforts to respond to the critically important 2024 Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule, here's an overview of why it's more important than ever to get involved in regulatory advocacy.
