Chanele Criswell, PT, DPT, is the founder of the Philadelphia-based Black Women in PT mentoring group. Currently the group is online only until the pandemic subsides, but Criswell hopes to add in-person events when it's safe to do so.

The group is young but growing — and a potential model for other segments of the profession that feel isolated. The connections made in these groups are the building blocks for stronger connections throughout the profession as a whole.

We caught up with Criswell to find out more about her effort.
