Summary

What it measures:

Six subtests measure motor abilities in children: reflexes, stationary, locomotion, object manipulation, grasping, and visual motor integration.

Used to estimate a child’s motor competence relative to peers, compare fine motor and gross motor composite scores to determine if a discrepancy is present, plan educational and therapeutic intervention, evaluate progress; also used as a research tool. 

Target Population:

Children from birth through 5 years of age (15 days–71 months)
