Overview
This 2024 guideline from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) “Standards of Care in Diabetes” provides the components of diabetes care, general treatment goals and guidelines, and tools to evaluate quality of care. Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants may be especially interested in the recommendations pertaining to physical activity and exercise, lifestyle management, and psychosocial care.
