The deadline to apply for the following nine grants from the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research is approaching fast — all applications must be submitted through the ProposalCentral.com portal by July 31. Principal investigators must be APTA members, and proposed research must be linked to one or more priorities in the APTA Research Agenda.

  • Acute Care Research Grant: One $40,000 grant available. Membership in the APTA Academy of Acute Care Physical Therapy is required.
  • New - Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available. Membership in the Academy of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy is required.
  • Education Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available. Membership in the APTA Academy of Education is required.
  • Foundation Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Geriatric Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available. Membership in APTA Geriatrics is required.
  • Jane L. Snyder Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Marilyn Moffat Geriatric Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available.
  • Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available. Membership in the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy is required.
  • Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Research Grant: One $40,000 grant is available. Membership in the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is required.

The Foundation, Jane L. Snyder, and Orthopaedic research grants are specifically targeted for early-career investigators who are conducting research in any of the physical therapy areas.
