Terry Nordstrom, PT, EdD, FAPTA, was honored with the 56th annual Mary McMillan Lecture Award and will deliver his presentation as part of the upcoming APTA Combined Sections Meeting, Feb. 13-15, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Nancy Bloom, PT, DPT, MSOT, will deliver the 30th annual John H.P. Maley Lecture during the 2025 APTA Leadership Congress, July 10-15 in Washington, D.C.  

Nordstrom is an emeritus professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. During his 30-year tenure at the university, his roles included department chair, assistant academic vice president, and vice president of enrollment and student services. Nordstrom served as first vice president of the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy and as the organization's second president. He is a former member of the APTA Ethics and Judicial Committee. His areas of research and writing include professional education, professional formation and ethics, and academic leadership development.

Bloom is professor emerita in the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is a member of the board of directors for the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and previously chaired the academy's Education Committee. Bloom has been recognized through APTA's Henry O. Kendall and Florence P. Kendall Award, which recognizes an individual who has made outstanding and enduring contributions to the practice of physical therapy. She is also the recipient of APTA Missouri's Outstanding Service Award in Education.
