In her previous work, Katie O’Bright, PT, DPT, OCS, (right) regularly held primary care responsibilities, such as placing referrals, ordering imaging, and taking responsibility for the overall care plan.Karlyn Green, PT, DPT, OCS, CCS, already holds board certifications in two distinct areas of physical therapy specialty practice. The first, in orthopedics, she earned in 2010, while her certification in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy came five years later, in 2015.
Most PTs would probably stop there, and Green admits that her credentials have served her well in a career that's included work in almost every setting. Today, however, as an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Campbell University in North Carolina, she's been thinking about future possibilities.
