Picture a young man, age 16, wearing heavy work boots, jeans, and a T-shirt, running two miles each morning from his home in a tiny town of 300 or so residents on a gravel road in central Minnesota between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Then back again just before sundown on warm and humid days in early August.
